Have You Ever Been Interested in the Power of Words? Imagine: you are reading a book and are suddenly drawn into the world that the author describes. It's as if you can see such a beautiful view, feel the beach breeze, or smell the fragrant aroma of the food being served. This sensation is created thanks to descriptive text.

Definition of Descriptive Text

Descriptive Text is a text which says what a person or a thing is like. 


Purpose of Descriptive Text

To describe and reveal a particular person, place, or thing.


Generic Structure of Descriptive Text

# Identification : Identifies phenomenon (person, place, or thing) that will be described.
# Description : Describes parts, qualities, characteristics, etc.


The Characteristics / Language Feature of Descriptive Text:

– Specific participant : having a particular object, not general and unique (only one exists).
– The use of adjectives to clarify nouns.
– The use of simple present tense : The sentence pattern used is simple present because it describes facts about the object.
– Action Verbs : There is a verb indicating an action (its activity can be seen).

LEE DONG-HYUCK/ HAECHAN


Lee Dong-hyuck or Haechan, is a talented young singer from South Korea who is a member of the idol group NCT. He was born on June 6th, 2000 in Seoul, South Korea. He is the first of three children, two brothers and a younger sister. Haechan has blood type AB, his height is 174 cm, his weight is 58 kg and his skin color is brown. His hobbies are playing video games, playing piano, singing and listening to songs. His favorite colors are black and red. His favorite foods are kimchi jjigae and samgyeospal (pork belly). His favorite singers are Michael Jackson and Taemin Shinee. Haechan doesn't like miyeokguk (seaweed soup), he is also allergic to cats and is afraid of insects.

Haechan is known as one of the strongest vocalists in NCT, with a melodious voice and the ability to hit high notes beautifully. His skills don't stop there. Haechan is also a good dancer and has a cool rap. He is a member of three NCT subunits: NCT 127, NCT Dream and NCT U, which shows his versatility and ability to adapt to different styles of music.

In addition to his musical talents, Haechan is known for his bright, funny and energetic personality. He often makes NCT fans and members laugh with his adorable behavior. That's why he was nicknamed "Fullsun" and his fan name was Sunflower / Sfs.

Haechan is also known as a diligent and hardworking individual. He always tries to give his best in every performance and this dedication is clearly visible in his work.
